Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2026, replaces all prior versions

Applies to: pureecospa.com and all Pure Eco Spa & Boutique services

Pure Eco Spa & Boutique ('Pure Eco Spa,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, your rights under applicable law — including the Rhode Island Data Privacy Act (RIDPA) — and how to contact us with questions or requests.

By using our website (pureecospa.com), booking our services, or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.

1. Information We Collect

1a. Information You Provide Directly

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Book an appointment online or by phone (name, email address, phone number, health disclosures)

  • Purchase products, services, or gift cards (name, billing address, payment information)

  • Subscribe to our email newsletter (name, email address)

  • Opt in to SMS or text message communications (name, mobile phone number)

  • Contact us via email, phone, or our website contact form

  • Attend events or programs hosted by Pure Eco Spa

  • Provide testimonials or feedback about our services

1b. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit pureecospa.com, we and our third-party service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and browsing activity, including:

  • IP address, browser type, and operating system

  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and links clicked

  • Referring URLs and exit pages

  • Device identifiers and general location data (city/region level)

This information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 5 (Cookies and Tracking) for full details.

1c. Information from Third-Party Platforms

We use the following third-party platforms that may collect or process your personal information on our behalf:

  • Meevo (na0.meevo.com) — our online booking and appointment management system. When you book a service, your name, contact information, appointment history, and payment details are processed by Meevo. Please review Meevo's privacy policy at meevo.com.

  • Emma / e2ma (app.e2ma.net) — our email marketing platform. When you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and email address are stored and managed by Emma. Please review Emma's privacy policy at myemma.com.

  • Squarespace — our website platform, which hosts pureecospa.com and processes basic browsing and analytics data. Please review Squarespace's privacy policy at squarespace.com.

  • Google (via Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics) — we use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KLC69DZ8) to manage tracking scripts on our website, including Google Analytics, which collects anonymized usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To process bookings, payments, and service requests

  • To communicate with you about your appointments, purchases, and inquiries

  • To send marketing emails and promotional communications — only with your consent, and you may opt out at any time

  • To send SMS/text messages, including appointment reminders and promotional offers — only with your explicit written consent, and you may opt out at any time by texting STOP

  • To improve our website, services, and client experience through analytics

  • To comply with applicable laws and legal obligations

  • To protect the security and integrity of our business and website

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Marketing Communications

3a. Email Marketing

We send promotional emails and newsletters to clients who have opted in at the point of data collection — for example, by subscribing via our website or checking a consent box at booking. Each marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link. You may also opt out at any time by emailing info@pureecospa.com. We will process opt-out requests within 10 business days.

Providing your email address for appointment confirmation purposes does not automatically enroll you in marketing emails. Transactional and marketing communications are treated as separate consents.

3b. SMS and Text Message Marketing

Pure Eco Spa sends text messages for two purposes: appointment reminders (transactional) and promotional offers and announcements (marketing). By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box at the time of booking or sign-up, or by verbally agreeing over the phone, you expressly consent to receive both types of messages from Pure Eco Spa at the number provided.

SMS / Text Message Disclosure (TCPA Compliance)

By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Pure Eco Spa & Boutique, including appointment reminders and promotional offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP or contact us at info@pureecospa.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. SMS consent is never sold, transferred, or shared with any outside organization.

3c. Testimonials and User Content

If you provide a testimonial, review, or social media post about Pure Eco Spa and we wish to use it in our marketing materials — including on our website, social media channels, or printed materials — we will seek your explicit permission before doing so. We will not attribute testimonials to you by full name without your consent.

3d. Photography and Media

Pure Eco Spa may photograph or video events held on our property for marketing and social media purposes. If you attend an event, your presence constitutes acknowledgment that photography may occur. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify a staff member and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website, processing bookings, or delivering services (including Meevo, Emma, Squarespace, and Google, as described in Section 1c). These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.

  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, regulation, court order, or in response to a valid request from a government authority.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

  • With Your Consent: For any other purpose, only with your explicit consent.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take prompt steps to delete it. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at info@pureecospa.com.

9. Third-Party Links and Platforms

Our website contains links to third-party websites including our booking portal (Meevo), gift card platform, and social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
