Rose Maloney, Owner and Founder of Pure Eco Spa
Nine years ago, Rose founded Pure Eco Spa, a haven where clients can experience self-care in a relaxing, nurturing environment. At Pure Eco Spa, we prioritize the use of clean, non-toxic products and offer result-driven, non-invasive holistic services. Rose’s goal has always been to help people not only look good but feel good from the inside out. Drawing on over 25 years of experience, she combines cutting-edge, non-invasive technologies with a natural approach to healthy skincare and overall health, methods that helped her on her own wellness journey.
At Pure Eco Spa, we customize each treatment by taking into account your individual needs—whether related to nutrition, lifestyle, environmental factors, health, or stress—allowing us to provide tailored results that enhance both your inner and outer well-being. We’re proud to have been voted Best Day Spa in 2021 and 2022 for the Best of Rhode Island®.
We offer a variety of wellness services in a serene environment in Westerly, Rhode Island, including LED Bed Therapy, Infrared Sauna, and Lymphatic Suit packages, as well as our signature Outdoor Garden Oasis Thermal Spa and Wellness Cottage for overnight stays. Additionally, we provide health classes and energy healing services such as Reiki.
Our Team
Rose Maloney | Owner and Founder
For over 30 years, Rose has dedicated her life to health and wellness, driven by personal experiences with autoimmune challenges. She understands firsthand the toll these conditions can take on the body, mind, and spirit. Her journey included navigating a hypothyroid diagnosis, joint pain, food intolerances, and enlarged red blood cells (which at one point led to concerns about leukemia), all while managing the challenges of menopause. These health struggles, largely related to lifestyle and stress, inspired her to take control of her well-being through organic and holistic methods.
As a Certified Health Coach and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Instructor with over 30 years of Ashtanga Yoga practice, Rose has developed a deep connection to how nutrition and lifestyle choices influence both our skin and our overall health.
Rose’s passion for healthy living, yoga, and educating others about wellness fuels her work every day. She enjoys spending time with her two cats, Taj and Mina, and her wonderful husband and partner, Mike, who supports her in every step of this journey.
Cherie | Licensed Esthetician
Cherie brings nearly three decades of expertise in skincare and wellness to our team. She holds the prestigious CIDESCO diploma, the highest qualification in the global spa industry. Committed to delivering the best experience and results for her clients, Cherie continually pursues advanced education to stay at the forefront of her field.

Katie | Licensed Massage Therapist
Katie discovered her passion for massage therapy early on, known for her 'magic hands' even as a teenager. In 2000, she turned this gift into a career, graduating from Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. With over 21 years of experience, Katie has honed her skills at prominent local spas. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist, certified in Thai massage, Cupping Therapy, and trained in Raindrop Technique. Specializing in deep therapeutic work, Katie is dedicated to helping clients feel better in their bodies. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and crafting

Ali | Licensed Massage Therapist
Ali’s passion for helping others began in EMS and led her to pursue bodywork and massage, blending her knowledge of anatomy with hands-on healing. A graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute, she’s been a certified therapist for 18 years and continually expands her skills in techniques such as MFR, NMT, Cupping, and IASTM. Specializing in post-injury recovery and Deep Tissue Massage, Ali is dedicated to creating personalized treatment plans to help clients achieve their best health and wellness.

Noelle | Front Desk Coordinator
Noelle is a licensed Cosmetologist and our Front Desk Coordinator, bringing a diverse background that spans Culinary Arts and Project Management. She plays a vital role in our marketing efforts and IT support, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.

Ellen | Licensed Massage Therapist
Ellen is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Shiatsu Practitioner, and Level Two Reiki Facilitator with over 20 years of experience. She holds an Associate of Arts degree from the Swedish Institute, College for Health Sciences in New York. As a member of the Crisis Massage Team of Rhode Island, she is trained to support first responders in crisis situations. With a background as a professional dancer, Ellen employs a pain-free approach to tailor her sessions using a variety of modalities, including Acupressure, CranioSacral Therapy, Reflexology, Tui Na, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Tellington TTouch, Reiki, and Shiatsu, to enhance body wellness as needed.

With 21 years of experience, Jennifer is a skilled nail technician and esthetician specializing in pedicures, natural nail care, and personalized skincare consultations. Her passion for ongoing education in both beauty and wellness allows her to guide clients in maintaining healthy skin through seasonal care and home techniques. Mike | Handyman Extraordinaire
Mike is Rose’s ‘better half,’ and while he doesn’t hold an official title at Pure Eco Spa, he does just about everything. You might find him at the front desk booking appointments, hanging new artwork in the spa, or mowing the grass in the backyard. His endless list of talents has been instrumental in shaping Pure Eco Spa into what it is today. While you can't book an appointment with Mike, he’s always happy to share tips on how to keep your wife happy!
