Gently scrub and moisturize the area once or twice the week of your waxing appointment, but not on the day of. We don't want the area irritated that day, and keep it clean of any moisturizers that day, as well, as it will hinder the wax’s ability to adhere, and we want the wax to stick properly to that area.
Make sure you have enough hair to wax. A good rule of thumb is a minimum of 1/4 of an inch. If it's too long and you want to trim it, be careful not to trim it too short. If there isn't enough, you may need to hang on a few days longer to achieve the desired results.
Wear comfortable clothing when coming in the day of your wax as to not irritate the area.
Moisturizing and exfoliating a few times a week ensures that the skin is healthy, smooth, and hydrated, allowing us to get the hair out without breakage. If you are dry in that area, the hair tends to break off, and you get regrowth faster.
Please don't shave between appointments, as it defeats the purpose of waxing in the first place. The more you wax, the more you damage the follicle, allowing the regrowth to come back lighter, finer, and softer. Otherwise, the hair will be coarse.*Following these steps ensures a smoother, long-lasting outcome, making sure that we get the hair out by the root with no breakage occurring for the smooth, healthy look you're going for.
